Mike Davidson
President & CFO, Board of Directors, ESOP Trustee
Joined GGI in 1987. Mike, in his role as President & CFO, has oversight of all financial, HR and adminstrative functions for the Company. Additionally, he provides oversight of our Irrigation & Construction Departments. Mike is Chair of both the Company’s Board of Directors and ESOP Board of Trustees. He is also President of the ESOP Association’s California & Western States Chapter (CAWS) and is a frequent speaker ESOP Association and National Center of Employee Ownership (NCEO) conferences and events.
Paul Swanson
COO and Director of Business Development, Board of Directors
Joined GGI in 1989. Paul is the Chief Operating Officer and directs all Sales and Marketing activities. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Gardeners’ Guild. His background – Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture from California Polytechnic State University- San Luis Obispo. His certifications include CLT-I* and CLT-M*. Paul has over 32 years of experience in the Landscape Industry.
Kevin Davis
Immediate Past President, Gardeners’ Guild
Joined Gardeners’ Guild in 1981. Kevin is a certified CLT-M*, CLT-I* and QAL* and has 46 years of experience in the Landscape Industry. In addition to his work at Gardeners’ Guild, Kevin he has done extensive work with the California Landscape Contractors’ Association CLT certification program. Because of his expertise, Kevin is invited to be a guest speaker at technical conferences and is a contributor to professional trade publications. He is a former Commissioner on the County of Marin Integrated Pest Management Commission.
Andrew Guliaeff
Operations Manager, Landscape Industry Certified
Andrew joined Gardeners’ Guild in 1981. He is a certified CLT-I*, CLT-M* and QAL*. Andrew’s role includes overseeing all field operations and heading our IPM (Integrated Pest Management Division). He also has extensive Water Management experience and advises on our Ecological Landscape Management Program (LivingSolutions). His long tenure at GGI, horticultural expertise, management and client relationships make him an invaluable resource.
Paul Thunstrom
Landscape Architect & Construction Division Operations Manager, QWEL
Joined GGI in 1997. Paul a licensed Landscape Architect and has a B.A. in Environmental Agro-ecology from UC Santa Cruz. A certified CLT-M (Certified Landscape Technician-Manager) and has 26 years of experience in landscape, irrigation design, construction, greenhouse nursery and agricultural systems management. The graduate of ASLA’s Architecture Certification Program, UC Berkeley has also taken their LEED for Landscape Architecture course. Paul also offers clients the distinct advantage of knowing the landscape business from the ground up, diligently working his way up to where he is today.
Jose Hernandez
Operations Manager, Landscape Industry Certified, Rescape Qualified Professional
Jose joined Gardeners’ Guild in 1997 as a gardener and was quickly promoted -within his first year. He has managed many large commercial accounts in Marin and San Francisco. His expertise in horticulture, pest management, irrigation repair and water management make him an invaluable client resource. Jose’s work ethic is exemplary as is his customer service, leadership, and attention to account management detail. He is also bi-lingual.
Kip Matthews
Operations Manager
Joined Gardeners’ Guild in 1989 and has thirty-five years of experience in the landscape industry. He has oversight responsibility for all construction, installation and renovation projects. His approach is hands-on to the last detail in this award winning division. Kip believes that relationships at all levels are essential to being successful in this industry.
